Module 1: Create a Community of Practice or Centre of Excellence

Identify the practices / areas of expertise to be developed
Learning outcomes:
- How to identify the various practices that should be formed
- How to set up each practice with "learning opportunities" to focus improvement efforts
- How to run experiments to test and develop continuous improvements

Create guardrails as safe areas for teams to experiment within
Learning outcomes:
- Provide teams with a set of guardrails for areas they can safely experiment and innovate
- Make it clear what fits inside and outside of those boundaries
- Encourage teams to make "2-way door decisions" to delegate decision-making
Define and align values and outcomes with the practices
Learning outcomes:
- How to set up each practice with their own defined values and priorities for excellence
- How to set outcomes and objectives to know if the members are improving
Module 2: Empower teams to take greater ownership of delivery
Teams take ownership for all aspects of delivery
Learning outcomes:
- How to develop team skills in discovering, solutioning, estimating and planning a project or deliverable
- How to set up teams for success with a set of steps for owning discovery and delivery from day one

Define projects as problems to solve instead of scope to build
Learning outcomes:
- How to define a project as a set of problems to be solved
- How to define measurable outcomes that determine the success of the project
- How to align stakeholders on problems to be solved and descope non-essential ones

Predict when a project might be completed to allow for innovation
Learning outcomes:

Create a long-term forecast to identify the likely range of end dates for the project

Continuously adjust the forecast throughout the project based upon changing scope to show the impact on the forecast end dates
Module 3: Increase transparency, autonomy and performance
Set performance improvement targets aligned to higher company goals
Learning outcomes:
- How to define metrics and objectives for practice improvements and align them to company KPIs
- How to capture data in a consistent and agreed manner for measuring improvements
Create a dashboard for executives to track practice and delivery progress
Learning outcomes:
- How to set up an executive dashboard that quickly shows progress against objectives
- How to measure and visualising improvements to tell the right story

Create and manage a backlog of improvement focus areas
Learning outcomes:
- How to build out a backlog of improvement areas
- How to track progress and completion of backlog items
