The benefits of Agile include being able to make a start on a project with very little pre-defined scope and solution definition.  The approach is that requirements and the solution "emerge" from the ongoing conversation with the end users.

The challenge this creates is not being able to say with any certainty or confidence when work will be completed.  It's also difficult to say how much work might be completed by a certain date in the future.

This course teaches how to have both; the flexibility and iteration of Agile combined with the certainty of project management to make good estimates and deliver within those estimated dates.

This course is for people working in Agile software development, whether Scrum or Kanban or otherwise, and who needs to demonstrate performance improvements in delivery against a deadline.

Types of roles that should attend this course include; Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Agile Project Managers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Iteration Managers, and so on. 

This course is open to any members of an Agile team, and also to managers who need to better understand delivery challenges and how to overcome them.

This course is for people anywhere from beginner to advanced skills in Agile delivery or project delivery.  It is designed to help teams improve their delivery performance and confidence.

Many teams are asked to estimate a large body of work, such as a project, and to deliver their work within a given timeframe or deadline.  People of all skill levels will improve their delivery capability as a result of this course.

Risk identification and management

• Understanding and identifying risk
• Tracking and reporting risks to stakeholders
• Create a procedure for managing and escalation risks

Teams will identify and escalate risks and issues impacting deadlines and deliverables.  The performance measure is that there will be very minimal unplanned or unexpected impacts to meeting deadlines and deliverables.
